NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware volleyball head coach Bonnie Kenny has announced the signing of three standout high school student-athletes who will attend Delaware and begin competing for the Blue Hens in the fall of 2010.

Cara Rosehill, a 5-9 libero from Kailua, Hawaii, has been a standout at Kamehameha High School. A four-year member of the Warriors, she helped lead the team to its fifth straight state championship in early November.

A co-captain on the Warriors this season, she has also competed for the Jammers Volleyball Club Team. A prospective Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management/Business major, she has been a perennial member of the Honor Roll and earned a spot in the National Honor Society.

“Cara is a very seasoned and accomplished volleyball player,” said Kenny. “She has an innate feel for the game and does things naturally that you can't teach. We recruited her to take Stephanie Barry's place, so she has some big shoes to fill. I expect her to make an immediate impact for us as our libero.”

The three recruits will join a program that is coming off of back-to-back Colonial Athletic Association championships and currently is tied for the top spot in the league this season.
