12s-Black Qualifies for Junior Nationals!

Congratulations to our 12s-Black, by going undefeated at last week's Aloha Region Junior National Bid Playoff Tournament, they qualified for the 2013 Junior National Championships in Dallas, Texas. The 12s-Black defeated Team Piko 12's Maka Lena and Ka Ulukoa 12s-Black both in 3 sets to win the bid. Congratulations girls!!!!

Jammer Skyler Kamaka Named
Miss Hawaii 2012
Congratulations to Skyler Kamaka, Jammers VBC/Kamehameha '08, on being crowned Miss Hawaii 2012. Skyler beat out 15 other contestants in the 66th annual scholarship pageant held at the Hawaii Convention Center. She will be competing in the Miss America Pageant this month in Las Vegas!

Skyler was a 2008 graduate of Kamehameha where she was apart of two State Championship teams. She trained with Jammers VBC as a Setter & Outside Hitter since she was 11, making her a 7-year club member!
Skyler earned a scholarship to Concordia University where she earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science with a Minor in Coaching. Skyler finished her career ranked No. 5 on the school's all-time list with 1,913 assists. She finished eighth in total aces with 96 and finished among the top 10 in school history in sets and games played.
In 2003, Skyler helped her 12's team to win the Championship of the IMPACT Tournament. Skyler is the 3rd in the back row.
Skyler also helped her 12's team win the Gold Medal in the 2003 Volleyball Festival -- July, 2003 Sacramento, California.

| Every Winter Break, Jammers VBC Alumni return to the gym to participate in a tournament alongside current Jammers. This is a great time in which skills, stories, and experiences are shared. At the conclusion of the tournament, Alumni share their Jammers and respective college experiences. Being apart of Jammers VBC is a sisterhood with bonds that last forever. |
